Along with fixes, improvements and other new features, 3CX Bluetooth integration has taken the spotlight this month.

3CX Smartphone Update

3CX CallKit Functionality

The much anticipated CallKit functionality is now available in the BETA release of the 3CX Android app.

Calls can now be easily answered or dropped, and the handling of audio routing (particularly when listening to music/ videos) has been improved.

Bluetooth functionality hadn’t previously been available for the Android 3CX app due to lack of support by the Android OS. For this reason, this new feature is currently only available for certain devices, with more devices to be added in future updates.

Based on tests carried out and reported on by 3CX in the update announcement, the following phones currently support 3CX Bluetooth integration:

  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 5X
  • Pixel
  • Pixel XL
  • Pixel 2
  • Pixel 2 XL
  • OnePlus phones

Other Changes

Minor changes and improvements have been made to other areas of the app including chat functionality and general styling of the app and available themes.

As usual, 3CX appears to have taken feedback from the community into consideration when developing the latest update, creating an efficient and easy to use app.
